About Fallingwater: Fallingwater, completed in 1935 in Mill Run, Pennsylvania, is one of Frank Lloyd Wright’s most celebrated architectural masterpieces. Built for Pittsburgh’s Kaufman family, the house is renowned for its dramatic cantilevered design over a waterfall, seamlessly blending the structure with the surrounding landscape. A symbol of organic architecture, Fallingwater has inspired generations of architects and design enthusiasts and remains a treasured World Heritage site, preserved for future generations to experience and admire.
About Justin Gunther, Fallingwater Executive Director: Justin Gunther is the Executive Director of Fallingwater and Vice President of the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy, the nonprofit that stewards Frank Lloyd Wright’s iconic house and grounds. He returned to Fallingwater after earlier serving as its curator of buildings and collections and brings nearly two decades of experience in historic preservation, museum management, and education. Before his current role, Gunther worked as an architectural historian at the Virginia State Capitol, managed restoration at George Washington’s Mount Vernon, and taught historic preservation at the Savannah College of Art and Design. At Fallingwater, he leads preservation efforts, educational programs, and initiatives that ensure this World Heritage Site continues to inspire future generations.
