Cafe Chocolate Chip Cookies

Trellis in the kitchen.

Makes 12

Ingredients
2 sticks unsalted butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon molasses
2 large farm fresh eggs
2-1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
2 cups chocolate chips

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a stand mixer, cream butter, sugars and molasses until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time. Scrap bowl to incorporate the bottom of the bowl.

2. Whisk flour, baking soda and salt in a medium bowl. Add to butter mixture. Then add chocolate chips. Scrap the bowl and mix for a few more minutes.

3. Using a two inch scoop, drop cookies 2 inches apart on parchment lined baking sheet and bake for 17-19 minutes. Take out the oven, let cool and transfer cookies to wire rack to completely cool.

4. Store in an air tight container.
